Access to Somali Sign Language

We intend to continue to create innovative ways for Deaf Somalis to learn their own Sign language. This will involve utilising new technologies and doing vital work on the ground.

Accessibility of public services

Many people are excluded from accessing essential public services such as the police, legal support and medical care, because these institutions are not offering communication oportunties to deaf Somalis. 

Deaf accessible education

In addition to access to Sign language it's self, we seek to empower deaf people with the same skills which their hearing counterparts enjoy, such as Maths, Science and other subjects. But to do this, we need curriculum and teachers who are aware of deaf issues.
